Today, I bring you… yet another top. Because that’s what I do now, I guess. This one’s a cute one with poufy sleeves and a loose fit, perfect for work or a coffee date with friends. Named for saffron because I’m sticking to this theme and you can’t stop me. Now, let’s look at the goods.

Info

  • This is a new mesh by yours truly!
  • Created for the Sims 3.
  • For young adult/adult females.
  • Custom CAS/Launcher thumbnail.
  • Shows up as a top under everyday and career.
  • Disabled for random.
  • Fully recolourable with two channels: the blouse itself and the sleeves.
  • Comes with two presets, as pictured: one plain white, one with plain coloured sleeves and a pattern on the blouse.
  • ~7,200 polys = HIGH. Recommended for photos, not gameplay.
  • Has morph states.

Presets

On the left: a plain white preset. On the right: A version with a pattern and plain coloured sleeves.

Channels

The top has two channels, the main blouse and sleeves.

Front and Back Views

Here’s a view of the blouse from the front and back. I personally think the poufy sleeves have some nice detail. 😊

Known Issues

  • As always the top will clip with certain bottoms.
  • Clipping may occur with certain poses, for example poses where the another sim grab’s the sim’s shoulder or waist.
  • Bone assignment isn’t awful, but extreme poses may cause distortion of the mesh/patterns.

Download

The blouse is available in both .package and .sim3package formats. Please do not download the .package files from these links. See ‘Note on .Package Files’ instead!

A Note on .Package Files

For most of the time I’ve been doing CC, I’ve been exporting a .package file directly from tsrw rather than exporting a .sims3pack and converting that to a .package. Unfortunately, I somehow didn’t realise that the process of converting to .sims3pack compresses the file, making it much, much smaller in size. In some instances, my .package files are therefore 10 or 20 times bigger than their .sims3pack counterparts.

Obviously, they still work, but they take up a lot of space on your computer and I don’t recommend using these old .package files. Below is a folder containing compressed versions of the files that I had uploaded in uncompressed versions. This only counts for the .package. If you want to download a .sims3pack version, simply follow the regular download link above. And otherwise, use the links pasted below. I’m sorry for any inconvenience caused by this!

Thank You!

I’m still having a lot of fun creating and sharing tops and especially seeing them in friends’ game has just been my favourite thing in the world. If you ever want me to see how you’ve used my stuff, feel free to comment down below or tag me on tumblr.

Also thanks to everyone who reads my chapter when my inconsistent ass manages to push them out. Turns out, working a fulltime job is hard, but hopefully once I’ve been at it for longer (three weeks now!), I’ll feel more refreshed.

I hope everyone’s doing okay and hope to be back to doing more of the creative stuff that I love when things calm down. Until then, thanks again for checking this out and/or downloading. I’ll see you guys in the next post!

Love you all,

Lovely. I get why you might prefer to create a pretty blouse. It’s a good way to let your brain rest if that makes sense. It’s still challenging but maybe passes the time in a less stressful way?

Thank you, Audrey. 🙂 And yeah, you’re totally right. It’s a creative thing to do, but not as challenging as thinking up stories and weaving plot threads. 🙂

That’s a really lovely top ☺️ Also, I think you had a little mishap there and typed ‘.sims3package’ under DOWNLOAD. I was wondering for a second if they adder a new type of file while I was away from the Sims 🤣
Meh, I had to comment through the Reader because my stupid phone refuswd to connect to WP. I always seem to have some trouble with self-hosted blogs like yours and Kymber’s.

Thanks, Jowita. 🙂 And heh, you’re right .sims3package. 😛 All the best from .package and .sims3packs but in one file format. 😂

You know, the kind of files that you dump in the downloads folder without needing to have the Mods folder but don’t have to install via launcher. 😛
