Taking a Break

Hi guys!

I’m here to tell everybody that I’m taking a little break from posting my story. Last week I caught up to where I am with my writing. I’ve been trying to write the chapter while also working on my school project and it just isn’t working out. The quality suffers and while I know you guys are wonderful and usually like what I write, I can’t in good conscience publish something I don’t like myself. Right now, all I’ve got the mental energy for is working on that damned project and spending any extra time playing PokΓ©mon on the Switch.

The chapter that was supposed to come out on the 13th will therefore be pushed to the 27th (if I stick to the plan). My project will be handed in on the 12th which will give me a good amount of time to write and hopefully build up a buffer again.

Thank you guys for reading along, for your kind and clever comments, and for sticking with me even when I have absences like this. Hope everyone is doing great and I’ll be seeing you guys in your comment sections (because I definitely have the energy to read stuff!) and I’ll be seeing you next time I post.

Cheers!

  1. Awww, it sucks when sometimes life just throws all your creativity out the window, but the important thing is for you to have fun when you write and enjoy what you’re doing πŸ™‚ So don’t worry about a thing! We’ll be here whenever you feel ready to write again, you know that πŸ˜‰
Good luck with your project! πŸ˜€ <3

    1. Indeed, sometimes real life just absolutely murders all creativity and it sucks so much! I’m super excited to have a week off for easter so I can throw myself back into the story and taking pictures.
Thanks so much, dear friend! <3 :)

  2. No worries. We all have those dang Real Life curve balls from time to time that mess with our free time. And yes, we’ll be here when you are done. Best of luck on your project!

    1. Thank you very much, dear Audrey. πŸ™‚ Yeah, real life is so mean, getting in the way of my writing, but it happens!

      1. But it could lead to bigger and better things….real life doesn’t have to be bad things…just gets in the way sometimes! 😊

  3. Good luck with the project πŸ™‚ I’m sure your creativity and attention to detail will stand you in good stead, and you will do brilliantly!

Your updates are always a pleasure to read of course, but for the sake of your own well-being you should definitely be going at whatever pace suits you, especially when there’s been a surge in your school workload.

    All the best!

    1. Aaw, you are so sweet! Thank you very much for the kind words. πŸ™‚
I think this break is exactly what I need. I hate posting things that I’m not satisfied with, so I’d really rather take some time. It means a lot to have your support. Thank you! πŸ™‚ <3

  4. I wish you the best with your project. πŸ˜€ Like everyone else has said, do what you have to do, and we’ll still be here when you return. I know what you mean about publishing what you like and are happy with. If you’re happy, I’m happy. lol πŸ˜€

    1. Thank you, Kym. <3 It means a lot. πŸ™‚ Taking a break has been great and I've even been taking pictures for the story. It's still a good idea to take a break, because not much writing is happening, though. πŸ˜› And just one week left on the project! Can't wait to get it done.
      Thanks again, my friend. πŸ™‚

  5. RL always comes first, however hard you try to push it aside… Good luck with your project! I bet it will be awesome! And I’m going to binge read Monte Vista during the upcoming holidays… πŸ™‚

    1. I know, right? πŸ˜› Unfortunately that’s the case. And thank you! I really hope it will be since it counts for a third of my grade this year. Eek!
Yay! I really hope you’ll enjoy catching up, Freja. πŸ™‚
