Hi everyone,

Another little taggy game is making the rounds and it reached me through Socallucyfan’s blog One Moore Legacy. It’s a cute little ISBI blog and I’ve only just started reading it, but I can already tell it’s going to be a lovely read, so go check it out. Thank you very, very much for the nomination – I’m so glad you thought of me.

Now, full disclosure – I don’t plan on tagging others or making up questions. I normally love that stuff, but I’m very tired and headache-y, so I’ll only answer the questions from Socallucyfan. Once again, thanks for the nomination, and here we go…

A note on the picture: It was attached to the others’ posts and I decided to use it as well. It was originally byΒ Karilan, so full credit to them. I’ve resized it a little because it originally was very, very big. I hope that’s okay. Now, onwards!!!

What is the Sunshine Blogger Award?Β
The Sunshine Blogger Award is given to creative, positive, inspiring bloggers who spread sunshine to the blogging community.

The Rules:

  • In a blog post, thank the person who nominated you and link back to their blog.
  • Answer the 11 questions sent by the person who nominated you.
  • Nominate 11 new blogs to receive the award and write them 11 new questions.
  • List the rules and display the Sunshine Blogger Award logo in your post and/or your blog.

  1. If you could change places with anyone for 24 hours, who would it be?
I’d say someone who’s doing something interesting. Someone who lives in a different culture or who’s travelling somewhere nice. It would be a convenient way to see something new πŸ™‚
  2. Any hidden talents?
I’m pretty good at cooking and baking. People also tell me I have a neat handwriting (I guess you can sort of judge that yourself from the small sample you get on the Monte Vista Story’s Previous/Next buttons – I’ll add one at the bottom of this post).
  3. What is the last thing that you bought?
I believe it was a latte on board the ferry yesterday, if I’m not mistaken.
  4. What are you wearing right now?
Worn out jeans (seriously, I need new ones), a dark blue blouse, an orange sweater, two pairs of socks, my bear slippers, and a fleece blanket with sleeves. I know – stylish.
  5. Read any good books recently?
The last book I finished was Mythos by Stephen Fry and that was pretty good – it’s a retelling of a ton of Greek myths and it was very well-written and entertaining. I’m also currently reading Words of Radiance by Brandon Sanderson and yup – also good. But then I love pretty much everything he writes.
  6. What inspires you to get up in the morning?
If you don’t mind my sounding a little grumpy: Right now I’m inspired to get out of bed by my stupid brain deciding that I’m awake at 5 in the morning. I have a feeling this question was supposed to be more positive and that I was supposed to talk about something I love doing or someone who keeps me going when things get tough… can’t think of anything. I’m just too cranky.
  7. Heard any funny jokes recently?
    Not really, no.
  8. What is your favorite color?
I’m very fond of turquoise, light blue, soft pink, lime green, and orange.
  9. Who is your favorite character from your blog?
That’s hard to say. One of my three CoM main characters, probably – Genevieve, Nadir, or Celeste. I’m not sure, because I think all three are fun to write and cool in their own ways. Genevieve is fun and challenging to write. Nadir I think is an interesting character because he’s different from many male characters. Celeste I like because she’s different from myself, because she’s relaxed, positive, and enjoys life. Not many of my characters are like that.
  10. How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
    3Β½. On a good day.
  11. Are there any random facts about your blog that you want to share?
I can think of a couple of things, sure:
    – I always obsessively check that everything looks right after I’ve changed layout/added posts. It’s super satisfying to just click around on my blog and see how it looks. I think it looks nice.
    – I sort of regret adding the ‘sims’ to my blog title because I would like to talk about writing, tropes, and so on that’s not necessarily Sims related. Maybe I’ll just do it anyway some day because I’m a rebel*.
    – I’ve had websites on/off (but mostly on) since I was 12 or 13 (that’s 15-16 years). At first I used services where it built your websites for you and you just did some Word-like editing. I eventually learnt HTML and CSS and had my own domain. For a while I only had a Tumblr blog and now I’m on WordPress as you might know. I’ve nearly always been sharing stories or artworks on my websites/blogs.

There we are – this was fun. Thanks for reading if you made it this far and sorry for the grumps that come out. I probably should have left this to another day… oh well, I still had fun and now that my headache is fading, maybe I can relax a bit πŸ™‚

Another thank you to Socallucy fan for the chance to do this and I’ll see everyone for the next post.

Handwriting sample – in case you’re curious, that’s my handwriting (when I write capital letters, anyway).

* Disclaimer: I am not a rebel. I am the least rebellious person on the planet. I take no responsibility for any rebellions of yours that fail due to my involvement.

Congratulations! And you just reminded me I was nominated, too πŸ˜› I am so not in the mood for creating another post, though. And Louise – you’re so stylish, lol. Anyway, I hope you feel better soon. And your handwriting really is neat, I thought it was some sort of a fond at first. Mine is bad and people often can’t read it, haha.

    NotJustaBook · March 13, 2018 at 3:41 pm

Thank you, Jowita πŸ˜€ I wasn’t in the mood yesterday either, so my grumpy taggy post happened, haha πŸ˜€
Sadly, my headache’s been replaced by a fever and slight cough. It’s not the best.
Thanks again <3 Funny enough – even though I'm routinely told my handwriting is neat, there's also several people who've complained they can't read it (when I write small letters, anyway) – people are so difficult πŸ˜›

Congrats on your nomination πŸ™‚ I’m the exact same when it comes to checking everything whenever I re-format or change something on my blog XD Can’t help it~ I like organized things, haha. And I’ve also debated changing my site name as well… but am holding off on it for now. This was fun to read!

    NotJustaBook · March 13, 2018 at 3:42 pm

    Thank you <3
I can't imagine not checking and double checking everything – what if something's wrong, after all?! The times I've been too tired to check things, stuff goes wrong.
I'm glad you liked it – thank you for commenting πŸ˜€

Awe, I hope you feel better. **sending you a bowl of my mom’s homemade chicken noodle soup🍲 **
I loved reading your responses. I am impressed with anyone who can cook or bake, because that is so not me. I am also impressed with your handwriting. Again, that is so not me.
You and I are both not rebellious.
Thank you for the kind words, and for responding so quickly. 😊

    NotJustaBook · March 13, 2018 at 3:45 pm

Well, my headache is gone but I might be getting the flu – I’m feverish and coughing a little. Especially great because I can’t take any sick days in my math course :O
Thank you <3 I enjoy both cooking and writing by hand, so in a way it makes sense that I'm decent at them πŸ™‚ practise and all that! πŸ˜€
Ha, ha, high-five for us non-rebellious types!
And you're very welcome. It was fun to answer these, even if I was a little grumpy!

      socallucyfan · March 13, 2018 at 7:55 pm

You weren’t grumpy. You were sick. I have been feeling ill for over a week, and I am still not over the flu.
At least we can be grumpy together.

Lila Remonn · March 13, 2018 at 2:50 am

I hope you feel better soon!
I would love if you wrote about tropes and story stuff because the main problem I have with writing is being too tropey, plus I have real difficulty with making good plots. So it would awesome to read your tips or thoughts on that.
I had fun reading this, the last part made me laugh πŸ˜†

    NotJustaBook · March 13, 2018 at 3:48 pm

Thank you <3 I really hope it gets better as well – no headache today, but fever and a cough. Ugh!
I'd love to blabber about writing, though I'm not sure if I could say anything meaningful about plots myself – plots are my achilles heel xD If it were up to me, I'd just write long conversations all the time… hell, that's probably what I do already.
Thank you πŸ˜€ glad I could make you laugh <3

sempreviva · March 13, 2018 at 8:40 am

Congratulations on your award! I really hope you’re feeling better <3
I get you on that "sims" thing on your blog title, I've thought the same about it myself – for my blog. But if you don't want it anymore you should definitely change it! Fight the power! (…of sims? Lol!)
I really enjoyed reading your answers! πŸ™‚

    NotJustaBook · March 13, 2018 at 3:50 pm

Thank you very much πŸ˜€ I’m afraid I’m a little worse today, but I’m hoping it’ll get better soon.
Ha, ha, I’m still considering it – like, maybe when my plan runs out. I just want people to be able to find me still, so that’s why I haven’t done anything yet πŸ˜›
I’m glad you liked reading them. Thank you for your kind words <3

RosemaryMarie · March 14, 2018 at 8:24 pm

Congratulations! I loved all your answers but wanted to tell you that I know what you mean about clicking around your site and the satisfaction that brings. I think your site looks really nice, too.

    NotJustaBook · March 14, 2018 at 8:33 pm

I’m so glad I’m not the only one – it’s just that satisfaction of looking at something that’s complete. It makes me happy πŸ˜€
    And thank you, Rosemary <3
