Hi everyone,
I’m sorry for not posting anything yesterday. There are just those days where everything you make is crap and it’s better to just leave well enough alone. But I did promise something, so I figured I’d toss out these OC challenges that I’ve done for generation 2, because I think we’ve all enjoyed this when it comes around. I know it’s a bit unorthodox to do it for characters that you haven’t read about yet but… here I go, being all weird anyway 🙂
If you’re interested in the other ones I’ve done, here’s for Carlo and Vittoria. And of course, this isn’t the first time Marta does this – see what she said as a kid here. As opposed to the others, this one doesn’t contain spoilers! So, let’s get going 🙂
Regina Mancini:
- What is your name? Regina Cristina Mancini.
- Do you know why you were named that? Dad came up with my first name. It means ‘queen’ so basically, he thinks I rule. Cristina was my dad’s stepmom’s name or something. I don’t like it, so I don’t use it.
- Single or taken? Single… as of recently. I wish you wouldn’t remind me…
- Stop being a Mary Sue! No, you stop.
- What’s your eye color? Olive green.
- How about hair color? Dark brown.
- Have you any family members? Only the greatest family in the world. There’s my dad, my mother who’s pretending to be dead (ha, ha, yeah, it’s a little weird) and I have a brother and sister as well. My brother has a girlfriend and an (almost) stepson. Crossing fingers they get married soon, because then I get a free nephew and hopefully they’ll make some more nephews and nieces so I can have a ton.
- Oh, how about pets? None of that.
- That’s cool, I guess. Now tell me something you don’t like?People are always assuming that I’m some kind of heartless monster because of what I do. Sure, cheat on your girlfriend with me and then dump me because you’re bored – it’s not like I have a gun or anything. So, yeah, I hate that.
- Do you have any activities/hobbies that you like to do? I garden with my dad sometimes and hang out with my siblings or my best friend Carlotta. I also like taking a long, fast drive… not in a car I own, mind you. I’m a pro at hot-wiring.
- Have you ever hurt anyone in any way before? You don’t live life as a gang leaders daughter without breaking a few eggs, so to speak.
- Ever… killed anyone before? That I can at least say I haven’t done. Could happen, though, who knows.
- What kind of animal are you? A cat or something. That sneaks around and steals your food.
- Name your worst weaknesses. I have a temper.
- Do you look up to anyone at all? Who do you think? My dad. He’s taught me everything I know and is the best dad in the world.
- Are you straight, gay or bisexual? I mean, it’s not like I’ve tried being with a girl, but I never felt interested in a woman.
- Do you go to school? Not any more – and thank fuck for that.
- Ever want to marry and have kids one day? Yes, please. I’d like a huge white wedding and at least five kids. It’ll be like my own little gang of monsters… though, hopefully none of them end up becoming accountants like my brother. Or all of them… fuck, imagine a gang of accountants. That’s scary.
- Do you have fangirls/fanboys? I don’t know.
- What are you most afraid of? Honestly can’t think of something. I handle myself pretty well.
- What do you usually wear? Clothes. Most of the time, at least – wink, wink.
- What’s one food that tempts you? Like everything. If I had a cake for every time someone’s said I eat absurd amounts for a small woman, I’d have a lot of cake. And that would be great.
- Am I annoying you? Takes a bit more to annoy me, so nah.
- Well, it’s not over! Woohoo! (I’m only sort of sarcastic).
- What class are you (low class, middle class, high class)? Do criminals belong to any one class? I guess high. I feel pretty high class.
- How many friends do you have? I don’t exactly keep count but… I have my family of course and my dad’s my best friend. There’s a good handful of people in the gang that I consider friends, like Franco, who’s also my godfather… I have a best friend, Carlotta, as well. So, to answer your question: I have a lot of friends.
- What are your thoughts on pie? It’s a thing that exists and I’ll eat it.
- Favorite drink? White wine. Dad will tell you that red wine is better – don’t listen to him. He’s wrong. (Sorry dad).
- What’s your favorite place? My mum’s lakeside cabin.
- Are you interested in anyone? Anyone who’ll enter into a steady relationship with a criminal and who doesn’t think that because I do bad shit, I don’t have feelings.
- That was a stupid question. Yes, it was.
- Would you rather swim in a lake or the ocean?I used to swim in the lake at mum’s house with Giulio and Marta when I was a kid, but I can go for the ocean as well. Both are great. Maybe we should get a pool, too…
- What’s your type? Is it cliché to say tall, dark, and handsome? I tend to like guys who are sweet as well, and who are really passionate about something, like… I dated a guy who was super into fly fishing. It was a little weird, but he was just so passionate. Unfortunately, guys like that rarely last long with a criminal girlfriend. Not because they die, just because they break up with me once they realise it’s actually dangerous around here…
- Any fetishes? Well, that is definitely none of your business.
- Camping or indoors? Indoors. Camping sucks.
Giuliano Mancini:
- What is your name? Giuliano Marco Mancini
- Do you know why you were named that? I was named Giuliano after a friend of my dad’s who died (and yes, it was gang related). Marco was my granddad’s name.
- Single or taken? Taken by my lovely girlfriend, Flora.
- Stop being a Mary Sue! Eeeh, sure, buddy.
- What’s your eye color? Golden brown.
- How about hair color? Light brown.
- Have you any family members? I have two parents (if you heard that my mum’s dead, just run with it – it’s complicated) and two sisters. My girlfriend and her little boy, Gabriele, count too.
- Oh, how about pets? None, though Gabriele is bugging us to buy him a hamster. Flora says no and so do I… even though it’s hard. He just really wants one and he’s really piling it on with the puppy eyes lately…
- That’s cool, I guess. Now tell me something you don’t like?Hmm… misuse of statistics? Is that… that’s an interesting answer, right?
- Do you have any activities/hobbies that you like to do? I inherited a love of painting from my dad, as well as going to museums. We did that a lot when I was a kid. Going out for a drink with Flora as well, or walking in the forest with her and the kid.
- Have you ever hurt anyone in any way before? No, I haven’t. Not on purpose, at least.
- Ever… killed anyone before? No.
- What kind of animal are you? A human?
- Name your worst weaknesses. I’ve had a tendency to let people walk all over me in the past, but I’m proud to say I’m getting past that. Mostly… (see the above hamster debacle – he’s so persuasive, send help!).
- Do you look up to anyone at all? Despite their… at times dubious actions, I look up to my parents. They do their best to stay somewhat good people – dad may have a dubious profession, but he has a strong moral compass in many things, and him and my mother love each other a lot. They’re surprisingly respectful to each other, despite their predilections. There’s my uncle as well, who’s a great cook and all-around awesome.
- Are you straight, gay or bisexual? Straight.
- Do you go to school? Not any longer. I’m finished with university and work as an accountant.
- Ever want to marry and have kids one day? I want to marry Flora, definitely. I can imagine giving Gabriele a brother or sister as well – I wouldn’t mind. I think my sisters have said that I have to give them ‘a fuckton’ of nephews and nieces, if you’ll pardon the language.
- Do you have fangirls/fanboys? I’m… an accountant.
- What are you most afraid of? Something happening to my family. Especially Gina and my dad, as they’re involved in some risky business.
- What do you usually wear? Business casual to work. At home just sweaters or T-shirts. Oh… also I wear trousers at home. I swear.
- What’s one food that tempts you? Shrimp! Especially in my uncle’s shrimp salad.
- Am I annoying you? I eh… maybe don’t ask questions you don’t want the answer to.
- Well, it’s not over! So let’s carry on!
- What class are you (low class, middle class, high class)? Upper middle class, I think.
- How many friends do you have? I have a handful of guys that I go out with the first Saturday of every month, just some of my friends from my university days. All accountants and one engineer (yup, we have some pretty wild Saturdays!). My family count as friends as well.
- What are your thoughts on pie? It’s a great number! G-get it? Because I like maths… Okay, never mind. I like food pie, too.
- Favorite drink? You can’t beat black coffee, and not just for when you’re up late doing someone’s taxes.
- What’s your favorite place? I love going to my mum’s lake cabin but also staying at the family villa and tending to dad’s garden.
- Are you interested in anyone? Only my Flora.
- That was a stupid question. Don’t sweat it.
- Would you rather swim in a lake or the ocean?I can do both.
- What’s your type? Flora! I think it might be her red hair – I love her hair. And everything else about her.
- Any fetishes? Aaaand, it got weird. Sorry, I’m not going to answer that.
- Camping or indoors? I’ve rarely camped because dad and Gina don’t like it – they did it once for my and Marta’s sake and we liked it a lot, though sadly they didn’t. Marta still laughs thinking about it. Maybe I’ll do it with Gabriele sometime.
Marta Zini:
- What is your name? Marta Zini (Mancini).
- Do you know why you were named that? I don’t know. My bio-daddy always said that Marta was the best name in the world and I think maybe my grandma was called that. Anyway, it’s the best name in the world, because my daddy gave it to me. I kept Zini as my last name after Carlo took me in, though I’m also called Mancini on paper.
- Single or taken? Single.
- Stop being a Mary Sue! Uh, I remember this question from before – like, the others started making sense later on, but this one…? What even?
- What’s your eye color? Still green.
- How about hair color? Still brown.
- Have you any family members? I have a great adopted family. My bio-daddy died when I was seven, but since I was eleven I’ve lived with Carlo in Monte Vista, so he’s my daddy as well. Vittoria is like an older sister. I know that’s weird, but it’s kind of how our relationship is. There are also my siblings, the little shits – Gina and Giulio. Oh, and Gina and I keep our fingers crossed that Giulio will soon pop the question to his Flora; that way we officially get a sister-in-law and a nephew. Score!
- Oh, how about pets? None yet, but every day I’m working, I get closer to living the dream: having a big, old house with like a million dogs in it. Or a minimum of five – once Gina has her five kids, they can each play with a dog. We’re smart like that.
- That’s cool, I guess. Now tell me something you don’t like? I… don’t like gunshots and blood.
- Do you have any activities/hobbies that you like to do? I write weird fan fiction and draw a little. Just fun stuff like that.
- Have you ever hurt anyone in any way before? No, I haven’t.
- Ever… killed anyone before? No.
- What kind of animal are you? Still a sloth 😊
- Name your worst weaknesses. I dwell on the past too much… my family help a lot, but… it’s not always easy, and I still see a therapist regularly.
- Do you look up to anyone at all? Yeah, I look up to both Carlo and Vittoria a lot. They’re not perfect, and Vittoria can especially be a little oblivious to others’ feelings, but they’ve done so much for me.
- Are you straight, gay or bisexual? Eh, none of that. The whole romance and sex thing doesn’t do it for me. I thought I’d grow out of the ‘boys are icky’-phase, but I didn’t. And later I realised girls are icky, too, so yeah. None of that.
- Do you go to school? Very happy to say that I don’t. I didn’t like it much…
- Ever want to marry and have kids one day? No and no. Five dogs at least and then Gina and Giulio’s little army of nephews and nieces. That’s the dream, my friend.
- Do you have fangirls/fanboys? I have 511 followers on my fanfic account, so there!
- What are you most afraid of? You know… I’d rather not detail it all. I have night terrors. I have flashbacks and panic attacks. Let’s just say that I’m afraid of a lot of things, but I’m working on it.
- What do you usually wear? Only the most stylish and classy outfits. I mean – look at me.
- What’s one food that tempts you? Oh, cheese. Too bad I’m lactose intolerant…
- Am I annoying you? Naaaaaah.
- Well, it’s not over! Okay then.
- What class are you (low class, middle class, high class)? I’m just plain classy.
- How many friends do you have? Maybe not as many as usual. It’s hard to make friends… but I have my adopted family, and that’s all that matters.
- What are your thoughts on pie? I’ll eat it – provided Gina doesn’t get there first.
- Favorite drink? Oh, any kind of soda. The sweeter, the better!
- What’s your favorite place? Vittoria’s cabin and the nearby forests. It’s so beautiful and serene there, and I like sitting on the deck, sipping iced tea and talking with Toria.
- Are you interested in anyone? Like I said – all that stuff is icky.
- That was a stupid question. Considering the stuff I said earlier… maybe a bit.
- Would you rather swim in a lake or the ocean?I could go for either. I’ve swum a lot in the lake at Vittoria’s, though. Ah, now I want to go there and swim!
- What’s your type? Seriously? We’ve been through this. Boys. Girls. Icky. No kissy. Moving on.
- Any fetishes? … For fuck’s sake.
- Camping or indoors? Oh, I haven’t done a lot of camping, but I went one time with Carlo and Gina throwing massive diva fits every five seconds because we didn’t have running water so that was pretty great… yeah, I choose camping.
So, that was it. I hope it doesn’t make too little sense to post them now. I was going to do some sort of sneaky peek, but I need to have my boyfriend read the new chapters first. It might happen during the week. Until then, have a great time, and once again sorry that I didn’t do anything yesterday.
Lots of love,
~Louise

Ooh, I actually think this is a cool way to get more of a feel for the voice of the characters. Now we’ll be able to go into their gen having more of an insight into their personalities, with the exception of Marta whom we’ve gotten to see a bit of and doesn’t appear to have changed too much (except she’s grown and can curse now, lol). I’m already interested in knowing about Regina’s – failed – relationship XD Every answer in which she mentioned Carlo was endearing, they seem to have a solid relationship. Regina definitely resembles him personality wise with the family oriented-ness, but I also see bits of Vittoria here and there. Giuliano is like an even more toned down version of Carlo. He didn’t inherit either of his parents’ kick assery at all it appears, he seems like such a sweetheart… and kind of a dork. I actually feel him on the misuse of statistics, haha. I’m growing more interested in how Flora looks; the siblings have painted her as such a lovely person.
Don’t worry about not posting~ You do you. These were fun to read 🙂

I’m really glad you think so 🙂 I did these a while back to help myself get a feel for them, so maybe I’m not so weird after all 🙂
Gina is a true daddy’s girl and I love writing their relationship 🙂 Her temper is definitely more akin to Vittoria 😛
Giulio is a complete dork, for sure! And indeed – misuse of statistics is an annoying thing.
I’m really glad you liked reading this. Thank you for your comment <3

Oooh, that was great! Like Amy, I found it to be a very interesting way of knowing gen2 characters before delving into the actual plot!
Regina is a spitfire! I wouldn’t want her as an enemy, lol! I think she’s different from Carlo in the sense that he always was a calm, rational man amd she’s definitely more wild. But she also seems fun! I agree with Amy that I can see bits of Vittoria’s personality in her!
Giuliano seems soooo sweet! 😍 And I really laughed when he mentioned misuse of statistics, haha! I’m with you on that Giuliano! 😁
Marta is awesome, haha! Her answers – especially the type and fetish ones – really had me rolling!
This was very fun! I really look forward to seeing them all again in your first gen.2 chapter!! <3

Thank you so much <3 I'm glad it's not that crazy to post them now 🙂
Yeah, I don't recommend pissing Regina off. She's definitely much more temperamental than he is – that's more akin to her mother 😛
I really like dorky Giulio as well, and Marta is just a delight, despite all the bad stuff she's been through.
Thank you again for reading this and for commenting. I can't wait to start sharing! 😀 <3

Funny thing is I kind of wanted to do the OC’s before gen. 5 and then I thought it’s not a good idea. We wouldn’t get neither Waylon nor Reggie. And I think I’m going to do the OC’s for the main characters near the end, because I always have my heirs respond at the end of their gen. And hence my characters overcome 3 phases – well, mainly it’s Frank overcoming 3 phases; the school phase with him being super insecure that goes on until he meets Waylon, then when he is with Waylon he gets more self-confident and the third phase Frank you haven’t seen yet, but it’s the self-confidence boost phase – I would want to do OC’s with three answers. And I don’t even know why the heck I’m writing this all under your post. Getting ahead of myself again.
Regina is such a daddy girl and she seems to have a really in-depth relationship with him. Also, she and her brother sound like total opposites. Giulio is such a nerd while she’s a badass just like Vittoria. That maths jokes are so freakin’ cringy, dude. And this generation hasn’t even started and I’m already rooting for Giulio and Flora!
Martha does seem like she has deep-rooted issues. I didn’t find her OC funny. Her troubles with feeling attraction could either be asexuality, but it does also seem as though she might be experiencing those due to the stress she’s had in her life. Who knows, really. I also feel as though she puts on her funny facade to cover the pain that she’s really feeling. She doesn’t seem fullly like that cheerful child she used to be. Maybe I’m looking into it too much, but it seems a bit… fake?

I’ll be introducing some new characters soon, so I’ll probably do more OC challenges later on for them (like for Flora and Regina’s upcoming love interest) 🙂 I figured everyone already knows these three exist and I did these fairly spoiler free, so it didn’t hurt to post now 🙂
I really love writing scenes with Carlo and Gina, because I generally like cute daddy-daughter relationships.
The siblings are all really different and yes – Giuliano’s joke are quite cringy. All the other accountants love ’em, though – he’s a hoot at (accountant) parties 😉
Marta is definitely hurt by what she’s been through. I don’t consider her asexuality a result of that, though. It’s just not her thing. She’s a lot more subdued as an adult and is still going through a lot of stuff. She’s less forthcoming about her issues with strangers, but her family are very aware of her problems. But no – definitely not as cheerful as she used to be.
Thank you for your comment, Jowita <3

I loved having a sneak peek of the upcoming characters! Now I am even more excited for Generation 2!
I’m enjoying Regina’s vibe already. She seems very strong-willed but also soft in a way, to her friends and family of course. I really like how she and Marta seem to be fangirling over the possibility of Guiliano marrying and having lots of kids for them to fawn over. His dorkiness is cute, by the way!
And of course, I can totally relate to Marta and her disregard for romance 😛
NotJustaBook · June 3, 2018 at 11:59 am
I’m so glad this isn’t as silly an idea as it seemed to me this morning, ha, ha 😛
I already love writing Gina for the reasons you mentioned, and her and Marta love conspiring to get as many nieces and nephews as possible. I’m also glad you like Giulio’s dorkiness – I think he’s what Carlo would have been without the crime 😛
A confession: I decided to have her stay uninterested in romance because of your comment on her first OC answers. I was initially going to have her change out of that, but then I figured why not go for a character who’s asexual/aromantic. I think it suits her better as well 🙂
Thank you for your comment <3
Lila Remonn · June 3, 2018 at 12:07 pm
Oh that’s cool to hear! I am very happy that there’s a character I can relate to; although I’m not aromantic or asexual (sadly), I have a similar sentiment in that I just have very, very thin patience with boys, and a generally bad impression of relationships 😂
socallucyfan · June 3, 2018 at 8:48 pm
This was such a fun and creative way of introducing us to your next generation. I love this. I am even more excited for Generation 2 (which I didn’t think was even possible).
Regina seems like a tough cookie, but she definitely has a soft spot for her family. She takes the term “Daddy’s Girl” as a badge of honor, even though she may be more like Vittoria than she thinks. Giuliano is the total opposite. I love that he is the odd man out of his family by being a math nerdy accountant. And it seems that Marta is still dealing with her nightmares. Poor girl.
PS- my brother is an accountant, and yes a gang of accountants is a very scary thing! 🙂
NotJustaBook · June 4, 2018 at 5:51 am
Yay, I’m so glad you liked it <3 🙂
You're hitting the nail on the head with Gina for sure. I like to think that she's a lot like her mother would be if she'd had a good upbringing – though Vittoria is a little calmer (much like Giuliano).
Ha, ha, maybe Gina was lying when she said nothing scares her – I think she is truly afraid of all her kids becoming accountants! 😛
Thank you for your kind words <3 I'm so excited to post more 🙂
socallucyfan · June 4, 2018 at 6:12 am
I am looking forward to seeing more!! 🙂
Kymber · June 7, 2018 at 4:07 pm
This is so exciting! I really like how you set this up!
I’m sorry my comments are short. I’m a little under the weather today but wanted you to know how much I’ve been enjoying your story.

Thank you Kym <3
Don't worry about it. A single line is better than nothing, and your well-being is more important than any comments 🙂 I hope you feel better soon <3
