Facebook ads are meant to sell things to consumers, but when I see cute stuff in those ads, my mind immediately goes ‘OH HEY, I could make that for my sims!’ And that’s how I ended up with this happy little watermelon stuck in my mind… and my heart. There are two versions, one to decorate your home and one to decorate your sims’ shoulder – and there’s a bonus pose to show it off properly.

Watermelon Bag – Decor Item

• New mesh created by yours truly
• Non-recolourable with 1 preset
• Found under Miscellaneous decor
• Costs 150§
• Proper LOD’s (Won’t look like a plant when you zoom out!)
• Proper sunshadow (Take it outside and watch the shadow for hours!)
• No occlusion shadow (Won’t make the entire room dark)
• Polycount
  • High level of detail: ~7k
  • Medium level of detail: ~3.500
    • This is a HIGH poly count, please be mindful if your computer is not up to the task.

Watermelon Bag – Accessory

• Gender: Female
• Ages: Young adult and adult
• Categories: everyday, formal, and outerwear
• Shows up under bracelets
• Disabled for random
• Proper LOD’s
• Polycount
  • Very high level of detail: ~5.500
  • High level of detail: ~2700
  • Medium level of detail: ~1300
    • This is a HIGH poly count, please be mindful if your computer is not up to the task

Handbag Pose

• Not poselist-compatible
• For ages teen and up
• Can be used for any gender, though the accessory bag was made for female only

Known Issues

• There’s a small gap by the zipper on both versions (see photo). This is to do with how Marvellous Designer makes zippers and I didn’t think it was a big enough problem that I wanted to do anything about it.
• The accessory version looks a little funky in cas, but fine outside of it. I didn’t take a picture, sorry.
• However, the textures aren’t anywhere near as nice on the acc version as the decor one – sorry! I tried to make a nicer version and failed miserably.
• I would normally have a custom thumbnail for the accessory version, but I just couldn’t make it work.
• The bag’s strap might clip with certain clothes of if you use certain sliders.
• The pose might clip with certain clothes or if you use certain sliders.
• The accessory version is probably cursed, tbh. Burn a sprig of sage and sprinkle salt in the corners of your house if this affects you.

You may:

• Edit the meshes to suit your own needs
• Retexture and recolour to your heart’s content
• Convert to other games
• Share those edits/conversions
• Include the deco version with builds
• Include the accessory version with sims
• Include the accessory version with poses if you make any for it

If you make poses using the objects, please let me know and I’ll include them in this post. 😊

Please avoid:

• Sharing unedited versions (it’s a waste of time man)
• Putting any versions behind paywalls/adfly

Besides this, I like credit – it’s nice, so feel free to give me some of that.

I also ask that you let others freely edit your edited versions. I share things that I make because I want to contribute to the community that I’ve been a part of for a long time now. This community wouldn’t be anything without the things we create and share and I’m 100% for taking that creativity further by building on my work.
