The Tumblrpocalypse is upon us! Tumblr is banning adult content, which you may not think would affect me at all; I mean, a few months ago, I freaked out over posting a butt and I didn’t share that to Tumblr, so it’s not like I’m a hardcore Sim pornographer on the side. Well, Tumblr is using some sort of recognition software which is… um, a little overzealous, shall we say.
This sexy, sexy vineyard got flagged.
A few of my posts got flagged despite their decidedly non-sexual nature. One set of pictures where I thought they kind of had a point was the pictures I’m going to post here. They’re not really against the new rules on Tumblr, I think, but in the case of all of that nonsense, I don’t think I’m going to bother to ask them to review these particular ones. Only fully dressed sims on my Tumblr from now on, so you guys will just have to come here for all the risqué stuff (like butts and vineyards).

Other posts that were flagged include a few posepacks (Tension, Tied up at the Moment, and – of all things – Table Chats) as well as the post for my latest chapter. It was those bare shoulders on Lotta and Gina. It’s just too sexy for Tumblr, I guess. I’m asking them to review nearly all of my posts except for this one. Like I said: it’s probably not a problem to post stuff like this, but I can’t be bothered. I feel like it’s safer to keep the stuff that skirts the edge here. This is my self-hosted blog, after all, and I can be as lecherous as I want. Prepare for lots of sexy vineyards in the future!
Now, I’m still going to post stuff to Tumblr. I like sharing extra landscape pictures and model shots of my characters on there and I’m also still going to post my story chapters – I’m just not going to post pictures like these on there. I’ll keep them on my blog.

Ahahah, you joined at just the worst time, lol 😛 Tumblr apparently got so infested with porn bots and illegal (underage) porn that they decided banning all sex is the way to go. I see where they’re coming from, but it’s also hitting A LOT of communities and creators hard. So Tumblr is a hell hole right now, ahahha 😀

Oh my word is that a vineyard?!! That needs to come with a tw! I walked in here not knowing what to expect, only to be met with vineyard pics?! I’m aghast! But yeah, I’m definitely not big on posting graphic naughty pics myself. Only when a story calls for it, and even then I’d rather do it in writing. Taking pics of my sims shagging in game always made me feel like a creepy voyeur lol, but also I have the mental fortitude of a 12 year old so… But I do think the tumblr thing is being blown a bit out of proportion. The flagging system is clearly shoddy, just like it was a year ago with safe mode, but all that proves is tumblr’s coders are complete garbage. All of my mildly nsfw posts have been unflagged, bra pics, naked girls in bathtubs with naked men (as long as there’s no female present nips ofc!), all my pose packs have been unflagged. The only things not to get through were a few pictures of fully fledged nudity which I was actually kind of okay getting off my blog tbh LOL. I know some people will be more than upset than others, and that is their right, but I do think for the vast majority of simblr users who post mild nsfw, we will really not be affected much if at all. Just inconvenienced to now send our wrongly flagged posts in for review. Just makes me happier I started my WP before this whole thing blew up 😉

Yeah, I don’t really post much myself. A butt shot is the most graphic I’ve done so far and the most I’ll go past that is nips. Of course, that’s unacceptable on Tumblr (that’s probably the only part that makes me angry – nipples exist, get over it), so it’ll just be in my safe little corner 😛 Lol, I feel you on feeling like a voyeur when doing those kinds of pictures, though. I always do them when boyfriend is sleeping or not home 😛
My stuff was unflagged as well, so now I’ll take a shot with these pics as well. I’m going to leave them here on the blog, though – I like having my stuff here, anyway. You never know what’ll happen on Tumblr next.
The recognition thing is extremely shoddy. The vineyard still gets to me. Other posts I’ve seen at least had people or a colour scheme that could suggest naked skin, but the freaking vineyard?! Never ceases to amuse me!
I can’t say I’m too upset. The no-nips thing is dumb, but it’s not different from many other sites. I think like you said – those of us who just show a male in a bare chest will be fine (though, one of my cc reblogs with bare-chested men got flagged).

Anyway, it’s a mess now on tumblr. None of my posts got flagged, though, so at least there’s that. But everyone’s still going to remember those damn sex shots with Hailey. Forever alive in my memory 😂

I’m a new follow, and I still need to hop in your story, but work was a killer yesterday! LMAO! A vineyard! How shameful! Seems I’ve come to the right place if I want some good smut pictures! Anyway, yeah, they went way overboard on some of their flags. However, I actually passed the nipple challenge it seems.. they unflagged mine lol Not that I show anything beyond butt and nips myself, but it was obvious in the pics what was happening. I was surprised. Still having to always unflag your stuff is honestly going to be a pain if this is a constant issue. So, I am glad to be over here with that stuff from now on.

Tumblr was pretty much a den of porn once upon a time, lol. I remember well that it was a bit of a gamble to open Tumblr. What will I get today? Some harmless Doctor Who fanart… or full-on gay porn? Who knows! 😛
And thank you! These photos are so old omfg. It was back when I abused the tilt function on the camera so badly. :’) I remember being SO shy about doing these as well because, like, they’re naked (under the blankets). :O
